Fire
Tests
BSB have current test
reports to BS476 parts 20/24 for Fire Resistance and and Integrity.
In addition to test reports for Fire Resistance to European Standard
EN 1366 - 2 1999, and International Standard ISO 10294 -1: 1996.
The duration of these tests was for 4 hours.
The photographs (Figs. A) show a BSB Fire Damper under test to EN 1366
-2: 1999 and ISO 10294 - 1: 1996. This test was for 4 hours with the
product successfully passing all leakage and fire test conditions of this
rigorous operation.
Corrosion
Tests
BSB test Fire Dampers
at the Chatfield Laboratories for 28 days in salt solution to ensure
operation performance if the product becomes contaminated or corroded.
The product shown (Fig. B) completed some 35 days submerged in a salt solution
atmosphere, and operated successfully when removed from the immersion tank.

Tests
BSB test (Fig. C) at
the Building Services Research and Information Association (BSRIA) for
air control performance of its products to determine leakage and pressure
drop.
